What Our Program Offers

Our Little Learners Group Tutoring program offers a supportive environment where children in Pre-Primary or Grade 1 can thrive academically and socially.

These sessions are designed for children who need a bit of extra support and consolidation of skills they are learning at school. We run safe and nurturing small group sessions that focus on strengthening foundational skills in a fun and engaging way. Our approach integrates interactive activities and creative learning experiences to build confidence and enthusiasm for learning.

How small group tutoring works:

  • Private 1:1 Session: The journey begins with a private 1:1 session to understand your child’s unique learning needs. Our experienced teachers use this insight to create a personalised development plan and establish specific learning goals for your child.

  • Parent or School Consultation (Optional): A phone call or consultation with parents or the school can be arranged for an additional fee upon request.

  • Weekly Small Group Sessions: Following the initial session, students join in weekly small group sessions with other children, ensuring a collaborative and supportive learning environment. Activities are thoughtfully tailored to meet individual needs, providing a well-rounded approach to skill development.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What are the requirements for enrolling in the Little Learners Group Tutoring program?
We recommend enrolling for a full-term to ensure maximum benefit for each child and to build consistency and progress. A $100 deposit is required to secure your child's place. The remaining term fees are due after attendance at the first session. Casual spots may become available throughout the term, please contact us if you're interested.

  2. How many children are in each class?
With a maximum of six children per class and one teacher, our program offers ample opportunities for personalised attention and tailored support.

  3. When and how long are the sessions?
Sessions are scheduled for 45 minutes each, allowing for focused learning and engagement at the end of a school day.

  4. What is the cost of the program?
The initial 45 minute 1:1 assessment costs $100 and each small group session for the remainder of the term costs $45. Occasionally a casual spot may become available, subject to availability.

  5. What if my child misses a session?
Unfortunately if children miss a session, they won’t be able to make it up at alternative time due to limited availability. Teachers will have already invested time in planning for the session and so you will not receive a refund if your child is unable to attend.

  6. How do we schedule the initial 1:1 assessment?
Before joining the small group sessions, we conduct a thorough 1:1 assessment to understand your child’s unique learning style, personality, and specific needs. It helps us to establish learning goals and tailor our approach accordingly. The assessment typically takes place during school holidays or in the first week of the school term. Once you have enrolled we will contact you to arrange a suitable time for the assessment.
